First prize at AI Glioblastoma Hackathon !

The international Owkin & Servier AI Hackathon for Glioblastoma Research organised by Owkin and Servier in the context of the AI summit held in Paris in February 2025 featured researchers from prestigious institutions such as Stanford, Oxford, Helmholtz institute, Gustave Roussy, Institut Curie and many others, to work on advancing glioblastoma research via the use of AI. The focus of the competition was on integrating multi-omics datasets, as well as clinical information. Along with his team, Jean Radig, PhD student in the Department of Bioinformatics at IPMB proposed an architecture leveraging foundational models and contrastive learning to be able to characterise patients' sensitivity to the disease. The work was awarded the AI methodology first prize with a prize money of 5000 euros.
